Waiver Wire: Week 2 –
Working the waiver is an essential part of winning your fantasy league. We compile a list of players each week that you should consider adding to your roster, or at the least, keep your eye on. Some of these players may be on this list for multiple weeks, until they are either owned in over 60% of leagues, or no longer relevant to fantasy success. Everyone’s roster is different, and therefore your team needs may not coincide with the top waiver claims of the week, so use your claims wisely. Of course, as the season rolls along there will be players that are expected to have a major impact, and those players you will want to add no matter your team need or roster construction. Since many leagues are using a Free Agent Acquisition Budget (FAAB) as their way for waivers ( I highly suggest you do so), we have added recommended FAAB to our claims. The budget for each league varies, so instead of a particular dollar amount, we will give a %. This percentage is based on your remaining budget, and should only be used as a recommendation. Nobody knows your league-mates better than you, so in the end, your claims and FAAB bid should reflect your team and league.
FAAB percentages are released later Tuesday Evening. FAAB percentages are disabled after week 8. Spend whatever it takes to acquire the player(s) needed to win the week or season based on your roster construction.
